The Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost serves as the chief academic officer with responsibility for academic and senior-level internal leadership.

We at Illinois State University work as a diverse community of scholars with a commitment to fostering a small-college atmosphere with large-university opportunities. Dr. Vijay Devabhaktuni, Dr. Ross Kennedy named University Professors at Illinois State University  The Office of the Provost announced that Dr. Vijay Devabhaktuni and Dr. Ross Kennedy have been named University Professors at Illinois State University.
