Let us share with you our progress so far.
We are optimistic temporary programs to incentivize enrollment and retention designed to support high demand academic programs with the physical space, faculty capacity, and desire to grow enrollment will continue in the short term. The long-term goal is to examine permanent operating budgets and provide recommendations for a plan to adjust permanent budgets to account for need associated with enrollment, retention, service courses, general education and other gaps in operating funds.

Permanent graduate assistant allocations are being evaluated by having larger discussions with individual departments/schools on GA needs and spending. Other permanent operating needs are being examined as part of a large-scale study of permanent operating budgets.
Actual or Anticipated Completion Date: Individual Department/School meetings conducted by the Graduate School took place in Spring 2022. Work remains ongoing.

A working group of Deans, Associate Deans, and Chairs/Directors finalized a tenure track faculty request form that was utilized for FY 24 tenure track faculty requests submitted in April 2022. Summer funding, Academic Enhancement Fee (AEF), Provost Innovation/Enhancement (PIE), and SBC guidelines were revised in spring 2022.

Work continues through the executive committee and work groups to refine a proposed structure; the draft structure will be presented to the campus community for review and feedback followed by submission to the Academic Senate.
